The Cairns Regional Office of Arts Queensland implements the Arts Queensland's Sector Development Plans in the Far North and provides leadership and advice to the arts and cultural sector in Far North Queensland.

The Cairns Office delivers the IRADF (Indigenous Regional Arts Development Fund program to Indigenous communities primarily in the Cape and Torres Strait and helps to implement Backing Indigenous Arts - a Queensland Government program of $10.73 million to strengthen Indigenous arts in Far North Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
