Playing Queensland Fund 2014 Application Data

The new Playing Queensland Fund (PQF) 2014 application data fact sheet (DOCX) (1.62 MB) provides information about who applied, how much was requested and the locations of tours in successful applications.

The Playing Queensland Fund offers support towards the delivery of tour-ready work that responds to a demonstrated community interest and confirmed demand.

Here’s some key statistics about the round:PQF 2014 funded locations

  • 59 applications, 41 successful (69% success rate)
  • $2.152 million was invested in PQF projects in 2014
  • most applications were for theatre tours (31) followed by music tours (22)
  • theatre had the highest number of successful applicants (24 successful)
  • average amount requested was $52 119 with 83% of all successful applicants receiving their entire request
  • 24% of applicants were based in a regional location with 100% of applications including tour locations in a regional area*
  • 51% of applications had a focus on young people and 35% on children
  • tours were proposed for 140 different locations in Queensland with successful tours to 90 locations (see map at right).

Many of the proposed and successful projects were aimed at general audiences and the focus on children or young people was sought through including complementary workshop programs aimed at children and young people as part of the proposal.
