381 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley

Home > Arts in Queensland > Arts Facilities > 381 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley

Opened in December 1998, 381 Brunswick Street is headquarters for several of Queenslands key arts organisations.

The redevelopment of the heritage 381 Brunswick Street site, the former Dixon and Sons building on the corner of Ivory and Brunswick Streets, was developed at a cost of $2.5 million under the State Government and Arts Queensland Accommodation Creativity Strategy, aimed at providing accommodation for arts organisations.

Resident organisations include Artisan (previously known as Craft Queensland), Artworkers Alliance and Museum and Gallery Services Queensland.

Locating several arts bodies together encourages collaboration and creative excellence. 381 Brunswick Street provides tenants, their clients and potential sponsors with a highly functional and visually appealing environment. By sharing a cost-effective, central administrative base, these groups can streamline their support services to regional artists and cultural workers around Queensland.
