Short film competition for 12 to 18 year olds

Young filmmakers can jump start their careers with the Queensland Police – Citizens Youth Welfare short film competition.

This statewide competition is designed to help make young people aware of serious social issues that directly affect them and use the medium of film to explore these issues in creative ways.

The competition focuses on youth violence, youth driving (fatalities and hooning) and drug and alcohol abuse.

Winning films will be screened in the Queensland Police Service building at the EKKA August 9 - 18.

Entry deadline is July 15 with the winner announced on August 6.
