Young magicians, musicians, performers and entrepreneurs will be discovered at QPAC this summer with their summer holiday program offering three five-day workshops designed to nourish children’s creativity and performance skills.

Children will be provided with developmentally appropriate learning opportunities and materials while being encouraged to have fun with their peers and professional adult artists.

Workshops are divided into two age groups for five to eight year-olds and nine to 13 year-olds. Each group will work with a teacher artist and a tutor.

Workshops include, Performance and Magic Making where children explore drama and magic tricks, Kids Arts Market where children work with visual artists, designers, entrepreneurs and producers to plan, develop and make creative goods and services to be traded at QPAC's Kids Arts Market on Saturday 19 January and 'Ukulele You' which focuses on ukulele playing and includes broader music appreciation and art-play activities.

QPAC also has a number of free holiday activities including lunchtime concerts from Monday to Saturday in the Cascade Court, Kids Arts Market on 19 January and artist and sculptor Terry Summers' cardboard exhibition which includes swans from Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake, a giant alien figure, musicians performing a duet and a family setting sail in their boat.
