New flexible arts funding program to fan innovation and renewal

Under s2m, funding for Queensland’s small to medium arts sector has been restructured to support the entry of new organisations, encourage innovation and renewal and address gaps and duplications in arts and cultural programs and services across the State.

The s2m funding will replace the current Cultural Infrastructure Program (CIP) from next year.

Under s2m there are two categories of funding in 2008:

  • triennial – available to organisations that currently receive CIP funding
  • annual – available to organisations that currently receive CIP funding as well as other organisations that are recognised as industry leaders with a proven track record of achievement within the State.

Under s2m, Arts Queensland will maintain its overall annual funding of $9.6 million.

Guidelines and application forms are available online at: Arts Queensland
www.arts.qld.gov.au

Closing date for applications is Friday 10 August, 2007.
