Representatives from Arts Queensland recently held statewide information sessions about the new Queensland Arts Industry Sector Development Plan (QAISDP).

The QAISDP is a blueprint to create a stronger, more viable arts sector in Queensland and to bring more professional and economic opportunities for the State’s established and emerging artists.

The information sessions were an opportunity to discuss the QAISDP with local communities, to answer questions from the public and to address feedback.

The Queensland Government spends $181.5 million in recurrent annual funding in the arts sector.

The QAISDP gives clear goals and actions to capitalise on our unique cultural strengths by encouraging Queensland art that can be promoted to national and international audiences.
