|
An exhibition developed and presented by The Workshops Rail Museum in Ipswich, is showing at the National Museum of Australia in Canberra until August 26 2007. Great Railway Journeys of Australia is the first exhibition developed by The Workshops Rail Museum to be shown at another venue. It draws on The Workshops Rail Museum’s leading collection of objects, photographs, posters, art and documents as well as loans from other institutions. Great Railway Journeys of Australia is supported by Visions of Australia, an Australian Government Program supporting exhibitions by providing funding assistance for the development and touring of cultural material across Australia. The exhibition is presented in Canberra with the generous support of QR and Great Southern Railway. The Workshops Rail Museum is a campus of the Queensland Museum.
