Deputy Director-General of Arts Queensland Leigh Tabrett officially opened a new photography exhibition in Cairns.

Beneath the Surface looks at the work of several contemporary photographers and photomedia artists who have incorporated water into their images.

The exhibition features work by Clare Dyson (Brisbane), Yandell Walton (Melbourne), Glen O'Malley (Mirriwini), Jürgen Freund (Cairns), Marian Drew (Brisbane), David Campbell (Cairns) and Kerry Trapnell (Cairns).

Beneath the Surface is presented by KickArts in the Centre of Contemporary Arts (CoCa).
