National Science Week 08 – Science for Life!
The Queensland Museum South Bank will celebrate National Science Week 08 with a diverse range of free, science-based learning experiences from 16-24 August 2008.

The theme is Science for Life! and visitors of all ages will be encouraged to experience, enquire and take advantage of meeting Queensland Museum scientists and to learn about their work.

For the first time, the Queensland Museum has created an online Science Web program, enabling people state-wide to access the exciting activities available during Science Week 2008.

The online program includes digital stories of Queensland Museum scientists at work and the role museum collections play in science research; an interactive science game that leads players along different science career paths and the chance to explore how science impacts on our daily lives. There will also be opportunities to examine specialised research areas such as DNA analysis with the Disease Detectives interactive learning tool.

In addition to a virtual Science Week program, visitors to the Museum can enjoy a hands-on program that includes a variety of experiences for science enthusiasts. For full program details please visit the Queensland Museum South Bank website
