Arts and Culture Investment Framework

The revised Arts and Cultural Investment Framework was recently released. This iteration of the framework takes effect from July 2014. It follows a review of the transitional framework which covered the 2013–14 period and responds to feedback from a range of Arts Queensland’s stakeholders. Arts Business Innovation Fund

The Arts Business Innovation Fund (ABIF) provides a $1 million investment in 2014-2015 for not-for-profit arts and cultural organisations. The Queensland Government is providing $500,000 for the Arts Business Innovation Fund with the Tim Fairfax Family Foundation matching the government’s contribution. ABIF is an initiative of the Queensland Government, through Arts Queensland and the Arts Investment Advisory Board, developed in partnership with a Consortium of three organisations: Foresters Community Finance, Positive Solutions, and QUT Creative Enterprise Australia. The objective of ABIF is to strengthen the financial and organisational capacity of arts organisations, by responding to innovative business ideas that will achieve an organisation’s mission into the future.
