The Queensland Government has been a significant investor in the small to medium arts and cultural sector for over 21 years, recognising the vital importance of this sector as the engine room for innovation and creativity.
The small to medium arts sector also plays a key role in fostering community engagement and participation, providing regional access and supporting the professional development and employment of artists and arts workers.
Introduced in 2007, the s2m program has fostered renewal and dynamism within our arts and cultural sector. The Arts & Cultural Sector Plan 2010-2013 will guide the s2m program's investment in this important sector.
The s2m program has two funding categories - triennial and annual.
Only annual funding is available in 2013. Triennial funding will be offered again in 2014.
Applications are welcome from not-for-profit, non-government organisations that are either an incorporated association or a company. Eligible organisations must demonstrate that they undertake professional artistic or cultural activities as their main business. This funding program is not available for education and training, film, television and broadcasting organisations, or museums.
Further eligibility requirements are outlined in the s2m guidelines.
$50 000 minimum annual funding for 2013.
Closing date for 2013 funding: 15 June 2012
Notification of outcomes: October 2012
Please note, Arts Queensland can no longer accept applications for funding at reception on the ground floor or Floor 16 reception at 111 George Street (hand delivered or by courier). This change in arrangements has been necessitated by changes in security procedures across Government buildings. Applications to Arts Queensland must be submitted by post, unless alternative arrangements have been made with the relevant Client Contact Officer prior to the closing date.
