Insider's guide to Out of the Box

Brisbane’s Cultural Precinct will transform into a dynamic hub of colour, activity and excitement as the biennial children’s festival, Out of the Box, returns to the river city from 21-28 June 2016.

The 2016 event program explores the expertise of children and the concept that every child is a valuable, thoughtful, and insightful member of society who makes meaningful contributions to civic life. The program also celebrates children’s connection and engagement with Indigenous and Asian cultures, with a particular focus on Indian cultures, customs and art forms.

With so much to see and do over eight days, we’ve compiled a series of playlists featuring events to suit a variety of interests using the free Culturalist smartphone app

Culturalist is your handy pocket-guide for events and experiences available across all four venues of the Cultural Precinct, with interactive maps to help guide your way.
