Creative Queensland - The Queensland Government Cultural Policy 2002 is the first whole-of-government cultural policy.

Summary of the policy

Creative Queensland provides a strategic framework for Arts Queensland, other government agencies and arts and cultural industries to support arts and cultural development.

Key areas outlined in the policy include:

  • engaging people
  • building the capacity of communities
  • enhancing collections, respecting traditions and providing places
  • developing innovative and sustainable cultural businesses.
