Arts Queensland strives to build a strong and diverse arts sector which celebrates Queensland's unique identity and cultural heritage, drives a thriving creative economy, develops the creative capital of Queensland communities and enriches the lives of all Queenslanders.

The Queensland Government is a substantial investor in the arts in this State. Arts Queensland aims to capitalise on the State's unique cultural strengths and diversity, to develop areas with the greatest potential for growth and quality work and to enhance engagement with arts and culture.

Sector Development Plans – The Queensland Arts Industry Sector Development Plans 2007–2009 are a strategic vision for government investment in the arts and will guide flexible, well-targeted funding programs.

Indigenous Strategy – The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Arts Strategy is being developed and will be completed by June 2008.

Creative QueenslandCreative Queensland – The Queensland Government Cultural Policy 2002 is the first whole-of-Government policy which sets the directions for the Queensland Government's future investment in arts and cultural development.

Visual Arts and Craft Strategy – delivered jointly by the Australian Government and all state and territory governments, to increase the viability and vitality of Australia's contemporary visual arts sector.

Children and Young People – Queensland Government action plan for engaging children and young people with the arts.

Touring Strategy – The Queensland Government is developing a touring strategy to improve access to the performing arts for all Queenslanders.

Contemporary Music Strategy – Arts Queensland is developing a Contemporary Music Strategy to build a sustainable and entrepreneurial contemporary music sector.
