Programs and action for 2010 - 2011 are outlined in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Arts Strategy.

The four areas of the policy include:

• raise cultural awareness and knowledge
• support arts development and promotion
• support Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders to protect and strengthen culture
• increase employment and training in the arts and cultural sector.
