Opened in February 2004, CoCA Cairns is a state-of-the-art cultural facility in the heart of the city which houses a 248-seat theatre for performances and film screenings, climate controlled exhibition galleries, artist studio workshop space, office accommodation, Gallery shop and restaurant. CoCA Cairns provides accommodation for resident arts organizations, Just Us Theatre Ensemble (JUTE) and KickArts Contemporary Arts Limited , and offers theatre and exhibition space for local artists.
