Creative Generators – Regional Service Delivery

Arts Queensland and the Community Partnerships section of the Australia Council for the Arts are collaborating to support new service delivery models in Queensland for community arts and cultural development

Creative Generators is a key initiative of artbeat: Regional Arts and Culture Strategy 2010-2014, to build creative capacity in regional communities by delivering information, advice and professional development services through regionally based organisations. These services contribute to the social, cultural and economic well-being of communities by fostering the growth of creative practice.

The kinds of services offered can included

• Information and support services for community arts and cultural development
• Brokering and networking and developing strategic partnerships with industry sectors to achieve cultural outcomes for communities
• Facilitating networks of artists and arts and cultural organisations
• Representing and advocating to funding bodies and key decision makers on issues and trends in community arts and cultural development
• Taking part in regional planning processes to advocate for arts and culture
• A point of contact for central providers and to enable successful fly-in-fly-out programs
