Why Test Drive?

Test Drive the Arts is an initiative, jointly funded by Arts Queensland and the Australia Council, that aims to introduce new audiences to the performing arts. Currently we have 21 partner venues and companies state-wide. Together they have made available tickets valued at more than a quarter of a million dollars so far through Test Drive.

By helping to grow audiences Test Drive is contributing to making Queensland performing arts venues and companies more economically sustainable and responsive to audiences.

The Test Drive program operates on an 'opt-in' basis with any Queensland performing arts venue or company able to participate. Inquiries from performing arts organisations seeking to participate in Test Drive are welcome. The program is currently funded to 30 November 2009.
