Expression of Interest - New arts tenancies at Judith Wright Arts Centre (JWAC)

CLOSED: Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from small to medium arts organisations to occupy new tenancy spaces at Judith Wright Arts Centre (JWAC), 420 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley.  The  tenancies have shopfronts and shared kitchen facilities with access to centre facilities including the theatre space, meeting rooms, rehearsal and event spaces.

Following the EOI process, three new tenants will make JWAC their new home.  The Little Red Company production house, Anywhere Festival and visual arts organisation Outer Space will join existing JWAC tenants in creating an exciting space for developing and presenting innovative work.

JWAC is a vibrant arts and cultural facility owned and operated by the Queensland Government and managed by Arts Queensland.  It features a 300-seat performance space, an 80-seat multipurpose space, art galleries, a screening room, purpose-built administration and storage amenities, meeting rooms, function spaces and rehearsal spaces.


Expression of Interest

The EOI formed part of a two-stage process aimed at seeking and securing relevant and interested parties to reside and contribute to JWAC’s arts and cultural community.

  • Stage 1: EOI submissions and evaluations. Open 11 August 2020. Closes 4pm 8 September 2020.
  • Stage 2: Direct negotiations with shortlisted parties to secure leases. From 14 September 2020
