Arts Queensland investment helping to transform artists’ careers

The Creative Business Hub is creating meaningful professional development opportunities that support emerging and established artists to progress sustainable careers in the arts.

Creative Business Champions are arts industry experts that provide expertise and guidance through free, personalised one-on-one online consultations in a range of areas:

  • producing and leading First Nations arts and cultural initiatives
  • business growth
  • arts leadership
  • arts and cultural tourism experiences
  • grant writing and fundraising
  • driving social outcomes through the arts
  • thriving in the live music industry
  • building cultural competency

Launched in March, the Creative Business Hub is already a hit. More than 150 Queensland artists and arts workers have signed up and now have their very own champion to support them in the next step in their career in areas like refining their business plan, exploring new funding sources and building cultural competency.

With Queensland Government investment of $6.5 million over four years (2018–2021), RASN empowers local communities, drives regional development priorities, builds capacity, supports collaboration and leverages the value of the arts to achieve social and economic outcomes.
