The latest outcomes from the Queensland Arts Showcase Program (QASP) - round 5 for for Arts Accelerate, Arts Activate and Arts Advantage + Touring Queensland Fund (TQF) and Touring Queensland Quick Response Fund (TQFQ) as at December 2021.

 

QASP - round 5 funding recipients for Arts Accelerate and Arts Activate

  • Grey Gum Productions - $59,817 for Black Box, an innovative new musical about the Black Box recorder.
  • Ms Anne Louise Peterson – $59,987 for Women in Voice 2022, production focus on mentorship and engagement with First Nations and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse artists
  • Woodward Production Pty Ltd - $60,000 for Sherlock Holmes The Mystery of the Valkyrie theatre production
  • Aha Ensemble - $30,000 for The Work We Do Together a 12 month program from artists with disability from Aha Ensemble
  • Griffith University Art Museum - $26,140 for Richard Bell: Embassy, a publication to focus on Bell’s ongoing installation project
  • Lisa Wilson Projects - $60,000 for Bunker’s final development and presentation of a new dance theatre work
  • Little Match Productions - $29, 969 for The Babushka Book Club a new touring comedy- Cabaret production
  • Experience Rova Pty Ltd - $30,000 for Country Circus Roadshow touring circus performers to regional Queensland
  • Mr Robert Andrew - $34,334 for new works for Biennale of Sydney and National Indigenous Art Triennial 2022
  • Mr Mick Richards - $30,340 for Above and Below a fine art exhibition catalogue
  • Mr Connor D'Netto - $14,900 for Post-Genre Collaborations and Releases by Connor D’Netto
  • Mrs Heru Pinkasova - $29,982 for Bilum Mamma an innovative collaboration between First Nations Artists and Little Match
  • Ms Claire Letitia Reynolds - $15,783 We Are One a photographic, video and digital presentation
  • Mrs Lisa Viliamu Jameson - $39,440 for Ctrl+Alt+Del: Radar a multidisciplinary art exhibition and music event
  • Ms Jessie Lloyd - $28,000 for Ailan Songs Project an initiative to research and revive popular folk songs from the Torres Strait.
  • Mr Sean Murphy - $14,372 for Wantok Time  an interactive outdoor comedy commissioned for the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games
  • Curious Arts Inc. - $60,000 for Curious Arts Festival 2022 in Toowoomba a program of contemporary arts
  • Mad Dance House Pty Ltd - $57,000 for Mad Dance Festival a street dance festival in West Village
  • Mr Wayne Coolwell - $17,206 for My Colour an exhibition of photographs as a snapshot of First Nations People

 

QASP - round 5 funding recipients for Arts Advantage

  • QMF - $60 000 for Generations, a co-designed music program tailored to the needs of First Nations communities in Woorabinda and Cherbourg. (Brisbane)
  • Ms Pia Robinson – $60 000 for Martin and Friends with an inclusive cultural experience for children on the autism spectrum and with sensory processing sensitivities. (Moreton Bay) 
  • Tablelands Music Lovers Community Group Inc. - $ 27 409 for the Kairi Rainbow Fair giving children, families and people with disabilities an opportunity to participate in interactive arts experiences. (Atherton) 
  • Gold Coast Multicultural Arts Group In Collaboration Inc - $29 200 for Pomegranates Connection project with 10 visual artists from Afghanistan, living in Queensland, sharing their stories through a variety of visual arts. (Gold Coast)
  • Folly Games - $58 292 for Monster Siege, a story-driven outdoor theatre experience that engages kids of all abilities, culminating in a performance for the whole family. (Brisbane)

  • Flying Arts Alliance Inc - $103,311 for ‘Paint the Town’ touring exhibition of the Regional Arts Awards to 11 regions - Cairns, Atherton, Biloela, Emu Park, Bundaberg, Mundubbera, Miles, Roma, Dalby, Warwick, Gatton
  • Red Chair Pty Ltd - $68,980 for The COMPASS Project 2022 utilises a micro-touring model for 8 tours of diverse contemporary music production - Maleny, Agnes Water, Beaudesert, Boonah, Calliope, Coolum, Eudlo, Gladstone, Ipswich, Mooloolaba, Mount Larcom, Mount Tamborine, Pomona
  • The University Of Queensland Press - $5,456 for Chelsea Watego Regional Queensland & South East Queensland Prison Tour for Another Day in the Colony - South East Queensland (locations tbc), Cherbourg, Thursday Island, Townsville.
  • Topology Inc - $150,000 for Queensland Stories Regional Tour which intertwines contemporary live music performance, photography, multi-media footage and oral histories - Inglewood, Stanthorpe, Gympie, Mount Perry, Childers, Townsville, Ingham, Tully, Babinda, Cairns, Innisfail, Bell, Kingaroy, Dalby, Rockhampton, Mount Morgan, Yeppoon, Texas, Goondiwindi, Barcaldine, Winton, Boulia, Mount Isa, Normanton, Longreach, Boonah, Cleveland, Mount Tamborine, Toogoolawah, Logan, Warwick.
