Key information
Arts Queensland’s Peer Assessor program supports an expert, transparent and accountable approach to assessing funding applications.
Arts Queensland aims to build a Peer Assessor pool that reflects the diversity of Queensland communities, artforms, arts practice and related industries. Peer Assessors also help inform business improvement and support the delivery of policy objectives, including the priorities of Queensland’s Time to Shine: a 10-year strategy for arts and culture 2025–2035.
Arts Queensland is a division of the Department of Education and is the Queensland Government’s funding body for arts and culture in Queensland.
The projects and activity funded by Arts Queensland cover the length and breadth of the state, and Arts Queensland's grant programs are in high demand. In 2027, Arts Queensland’s recurrent competitive funding programs are:
- Queensland Arts Project Fund (QAPF) — supports the creation and presentation of new work in any artform
- Touring Queensland Fund (TQF) — supports regional communities to access high-quality arts and cultural experiences through touring performances, workshops and exhibitions.
Arts Queensland’s programs also offer additional funding to support the inclusion and participation of people with disability or who are d/Deaf as artists, participants and audiences.
