Important Information

Judith Wright Arts Centre is open to the public in line with Queensland Government’s current COVID-19 restrictions.

From 17 December 2021, patrons of Judith Wright Arts Centre will be asked to present their COVID-19 vaccination status in line with the Queensland Government directive. If you require assistance adding your vaccination status to the Check In QLD app, visit the Check In Qld app information page.

If in the previous fourteen days, any visitor has returned to Australia from overseas (other than a safe travel zone country); been in close contact with an active COVID-19 case; been in a Queensland declared COVID-19 hotspot, place of concern or exposure venue, as defined by the Chief Health Officer; had a fever, cough, sore throat, headache, distorted sense of taste, shortness of breath, chills, vomiting or any cold/flu like symptoms in the last 72 hours, you should not enter the premises.


Entrances to the Judith Wright Arts Centre are located on Brunswick St and Berwick St. Both entrances have lifts and are wheelchair accessible. The Box Office is located on Level 2R and the Performance Space is on Level 2.


Visitors to the Judith Wright Arts Centre can find Secure Parking located at 388 Brunswick Street Car Park (entry via Berwick Street). Secure Parking is also available at Chinatown, McWhirters, and McLachlan & Ann Car Parks.

Public Transport

Fortitude Valley is well serviced by both bus and train networks.

Fortitude Valley Train Station is located beneath the Valley Metro complex. Pedestrian access to the station is via two thoroughfares near the corner of Brunswick and Wickham Streets and a pedestrian overpass connecting to McWhirters.

The 199, 196 and 195 buses all stop directly outside the Judith Wright Arts Centre.

The Performance Space at Judith Wright Arts Centre has a hearing augmentation system.
