EOI - Café and Bar Operations at Judith Wright Arts Centre and Bulmba-ja arts centre

Arts Queensland is seeking Expression of Interest (EOIs) to operate a café with light food options, including provision of event based bar services in two arts and cultural venues:

The Opportunity

Are you a café operator? Are you a pop-up food cart considering growing your business in an arts venue?

We encourage your consideration of this business opportunity – to operate a café with light food options, including provision of event based bar services, in one or across both venues.

First two years are RENT FREE, as an incentive to help get you kick-started!

Along with the opportunity to trade independently, the café operator can provide services to ticketed events, shows, exhibitions, functions and catered events booked at each centre.

Both venues are owned by the Queensland Government and managed by Arts Queensland.

The right operator/s will fulfil service requirements, providing local employment while:

  • Supporting Queensland Government policies – i.e. Prioritising ‘Buy Queensland first’ for food and beverages made, grown or produced in Queensland;
  • Forming strong partnerships and actively participating in the arts tenant community;
  • Showcasing and utilising local products and being a bold leader in food and beverage provision;
  • Contributing to the venue/s’ experience as a destination of choice for local community and visitors.
