Funding for live music

Indoor venues with a track record of programming original live music throughout Queensland will receive around $2.8 million under the latest round for live music in Live Music Support program - Round 3

The Live Music Support Program, an initiative of the Arts and Cultural Recovery Package, offers financial assistance for live music venues to stabilise business operations and to offset revenue losses

Paul Day, President of the Brisbane Jazz Club, which received $100,000 through Round 3, said the funding was vital in enabling the Jazz Club to continue providing affordable entertainment for the community.

“It is so important for entertainment to survive in these difficult times and it will now at the Brisbane Jazz Club, along with keeping its staff employed, thanks to the Live Music Support Program and the Queensland Government,” Mr Day said.
