Touring Queensland Fund 2022 recipients

The latest outcomes from the Touring Queensland Fund (TQF), as at August 2022:

Touring Queensland Fund Round 4 July 2022 (touring locations as at time of application)

  • Australian Festival of Chamber Music North Queensland Ltd – $26,612 for AFCM Winterschool Outreach Regional Tour of classical music directed by oboist and educator Lloyd van't Hoff, touring to Ayr, Charters Towers, Ingham, Townsville.
  • Institute of Modern Art - $44 495 for A MURRIALITY, an exhibition featuring works from Gordon Hookey’s past 30 years touring to Caboolture, Cairns, Cloncurry, Hervey Bay.
  • Miss Keely Eggmolesse - $139 970 for Healing Through Song supporting First Nations women in traumatic situations through music workshops and performance touring to Bundaberg, Cairns, Mount Isa, Rockhampton, Rosemount, Torquay, Townsville.
  • Mr Mitchell King - $9 711 for Regional Queensland Live Music Winter Tour 2022 performing contemporary live music and touring to Airlie Beach, Brisbane, Burleigh Heads, Cairns, Dalveen, Mackay, Mooloolaba, Port Douglas, Townsville, and Wolvi.
  • Mr William Debois - $17 525 for Sacrifice: Regional Queensland Tour combining portrait photography and oral histories, highlighting contemporary social issues touring to Bundaberg, Ingham, Mundubbera, Rockhampton, Springsure.
  • Queensland Youth Orchestras - $34 500 for QYO Big Band Tour Summer Swing hosting a six-day tour to Far North Queensland with rehearsals, workshops, educational and community concerts and performances touring to Atherton, Cairns, Mossman, Port Douglas, Yarrabah.
  • RAVA Productions - $30 960 for The Wind in the Willows Tour, a new stage production delivering school term and holiday program performances to Caloundra, Goondiwindi, St George, Yeppoon.  
  • Western Standard Productions - $54 731 for 1954: Ella, Etta, Eartha and accompanying musical improv for beginners What's the score! community workshops to Ayr, Cairns, Charters Towers, Esk, Gladstone, Gympie, Innisfail, Logan, Mackay, Maryborough, Proserpine, Rockhampton. 
  • * Flipside Circus Ltd - $108 610 tour combining strategic partnerships with host communities, community residencies, and a new performance visiting Bajool, Blackall, Blackwater, Boulia, Bowen, Charleville, Cloncurry, Collinsville, Croydon, Doomadgee, Emerald, Eromanga, Georgetown, Karumba, Morven, Normanton, Proserpine, Richmond, Rockhampton, Tambo.
  • * Heatley Secondary College - $20 000 for People, Culture & Country for Indigenous and non-Indigenous students to create contemporary wearable artworks and dance performance touring to Ayr, Charters Towers, Doomadgee, Mornington Island, Palm Island, Townsville.
  • * Mirndiyan Gununa Aboriginal Corporation - $94 950 for Mornington Island Dance Tour 2022 to complete a North Queensland school tour to Abergowrie, Cairns, Mareeba, Townsville.
  • * shake & stir Theatre Co Pty Ltd - $58 150 for Term 3 2022 FNQ School Tour to 32 primary and secondary schools across 21 regions, presenting seven productions across 60 performances and delivering four masterclasses, reaching more than 8100 participants touring to Atherton, Ayr, Bundaberg, Cairns, Gin Gin, Gordonvale, Gympie, Ingham, Kamerunga, Mackay, Proserpine, Ravenshoe, Rockhampton, Roma, Smithfield, Toolooa, Toowoomba, Townsville, Warwick, Whitsundays, Yeppoon.
