Unlimited: Designing for the Asia Pacific

Design thinking in action

The inaugural Unlimited: Designing for the Asia Pacific was held from 4-10 October 2010 in Brisbane, Queensland.

The triennial event brought together more than 10,000 people with 67 events staged in 17 venues across Brisbane.

A range of national and international guests travelled to Brisbane to participate in the inaugural event including:

  • Bunker Roy (India) - Founder Barefoot College
  • Marie So (Hong Kong) - Ventures in Development
  • Sir Peter Cook (UK) - Architect/Futurist
  • Paul Bennett (UK) - Chief Creative Officer IDEO
  • Jeb Brugmann (Canada) - Author/Innovation Consultant
  • CJ Lim (UK) - Architect/Eco-Warrior

The UnlimitedAP website contains a range of inspiring video footage from the many talks, seminars and master-classes, in addition to design thinking blogs, discussion forums, event pictures and more!

The design action doesn't stop in 2010 with a range of ongoing projects and events to be held in the lead up to the next Unlimited in 2013.

Unlimited: Designing for the Asia Pacific is an ongoing initiative of the Queensland Government's Queensland Design Strategy 2020 and will be held every three years.
