The Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) supports professional and emerging professional artists and arts practitioners living in regional Queensland. Participating Councils manage the local RADF program, establish a RADF Committee, advertise grant rounds and ensure that RADF grants are allocated according to the RADF Guidelines.

How to apply for a RADF grant

1. Read the RADF Guidelines for Applicants (DOC 2MB)

2. Find out when the next RADF closing date is for your Council or the Council to which you plan to apply. Follow this link for contacts and information about participating councils.

3. Complete a RADF Application Form (DOC 503KB). If you are applying under Category 1. Developing Regional Skills, you can use the RADF Application Form: Category 1 only (DOC 346KB). You can use the Arts-led Recovery Quick Response Grant Application Form (DOC 346KB) if your Council has implemented this process.

4. Ensure there is a completed Eligibility Checklist for Professional and Emerging Professional Artists (DOC 92KB) for each professional or emerging professional artist to be employed through a RADF grant. Note there is one checklist included in the RADF Application Form.

5. Submit the RADF Application Form and all required support materials to the Council by the due date.

6. Council will notify you whether or not the application was successful.

If the RADF application is successful

6. You will receive a letter of offer and an Outcome Report template (DOC 301KB) to be submitted to the Council no later than 8 weeks after the completion of the project. The RADF Committee will read the Outcome Report to ensure the project was undertaken as proposed and may draw on this information for reports or case studies. For applicants under Category 1. Developing Regional Skills, you can use the RADF Outcome Report: Category 1 only (DOC 301KB).

7. You will need to acknowledge the assistance received through RADF. Refer to How to Acknowledge RADF for information on the appropriate statements and logos
