The centre is home to a number of arts companies such as the Aboriginal Centre for Performing Arts, Artour, AusDance Queensland, BlakDance, Circa, Creative Partnerships Australia, Australasian Dance Company, Flying Arts Alliance, Institute of Modern Art and Musica Viva and Carbon Creative. The centre also presents an ambitious program of exhibitions and events presented by our tenants throughout the year.

Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts

The Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts (ACPA) is an inspirational centre of training excellence and innovation for contemporary dance, music, and theatre. 

Anywhere Festival

Since its establishment in 2011, Anywhere Festival is a globally unique and local cultural experience that supports independent artists to present performance in diverse and non-traditional venues and spaces.

Artour

arTour supports performing artists and producers to tour work through regional Queensland and nationally, and assists Queensland presenters to program performance work for their local audiences.

Ausdance Queensland

Ausdance QLD is the state’s peak service organisation advocating for Dance in Queensland.

Australasian Dance Collective

Australasian Dance Collective is one of Queensland's leading contemporary dance companies, based in Brisbane, Australia.

BlakDance

For over a decade, BlakDance has consistently delivered generative and transformative sector events and advocates for the development of the small to medium Indigenous dance sector.

Circa Contemporary Circus is one of the world’s leading performance companies. Since 2004, from our base in Brisbane, Australia, we have toured the world – performing in 39 countries to over a million people.

Creative Partnerships Australia

Creative Partnerships Australia sparks investment in the arts by fostering giving and partnerships between the cultural sector, supporters and investors; and by equipping artists and arts organisations with the fundraising and development skills to succeed.

Flying Arts Alliance Inc.

Flying Arts embraces a spirit of adventure to inspire the appreciation, practice and professional development of the visual arts as a lifetime interest or career aspiration, and a creative life for all Queenslanders.

Institute of Modern Art (IMA)

Since 1975 the Institute of Modern Art has been the hub of the Brisbane’s contemporary art scene, presenting an annual program of exhibitions, public programs, publications, and offsite programs by Queensland, Australian, and international artists.

Musica Viva

Musica Viva is the largest presenter of chamber music in the world, a truly national company with offices in every Australian state and territory, reaching approximately 360,000 people directly every year by presenting leading Australian and international artists to concert audiences and school students across the country.

Outer Space

Outer Space is a not-for-profit contemporary arts organisation. Outer Space collaborates with artists and arts workers to develop, make, and present critically engaged creative practice in a supportive professional environment.

Outer Space has been selected through a Queensland Government EOI process to manage and activate the Judith Wright Arts Centre (JWAC) gallery space in 2021, supported by a programming budget of up to $100,000 to showcase Queensland artists. Outer Space will immediately commence its programming of the JWAC gallery. Outer Space’s tenancy and programming of the gallery will contribute to making the venue a vibrant site engaged in creation, innovation, collaboration and arts presentation.
