Arts Queensland is an agency within the Department of Environment and Science.

Our department’s foundation for promoting the rights of people with a disability, increasing their wellbeing, and encouraging their participation in the community is outlined in the Disability Service Plan.

Arts Queensland is committed to minimising waste and the impact we have on the environment. Arts Queensland works within the framework of the Department of Environment and Science Waste Reduction and Recycling Plan 2018-2024 which has been developed in accordance with the Waste Reduction and Recycling Act 2011 and the State’s waste management strategy: Waste – Everyone’s responsibility: Queensland Waste Avoidance and Resource Productivity Strategy (2014-2024).

In support of the Queensland Government’s proactive commitment to safe and healthy work environments and practices, Arts Queensland’s Asbestos Management Policy outlines underlying principles and obligations concerning the management of asbestos containing material in Arts Queensland facilities.

Arts Queensland’s Asbestos Management Plan (PDF) (2.57 MB) details the approach to be taken in managing asbestos containing material and the Asbestos Register (PDF) (21.61 MB) dentifies the location of materials known or likely to contain asbestos in Arts Queensland facilities.
