Visit Queensland's Cultural Centre

The Queensland Cultural Centre is located at Brisbane's South Bank and is accessible by car, bus, ferry and train. It is also walking distance from the CBD.


The Centre is accessible by foot from Brisbane’s central business district via the Victoria Bridge or the Kurilpa footbridge.

Three undercover car parks are located within the Centre, offering more than 1,000 spaces, including 28 Mobility Impaired bays (PWD).

  • Car Park 1 (P1) - Due to the impacts of COVID-19, Car Park 1 is temporarily closed.
  • Car Park 2 (P2) - offers best parking for Queensland Art Gallery and Queensland Museum with (12 PWD)  and is accessible via Stanley Place. Get directions.
  • Car Park 3 (P3) - offers best parking for State Library Queensland and Gallery of Modern Art (6 PWD) and is accessible via Stanley Place. Get directions.

Queensland Cultural Centre's car parks operate as pay on entry with both cash and credit/debit card options available (Visa and MasterCard only) via Auto Pay Stations. Please note Auto Pay Stations do not take 5 cent coins. Centre parking staff operate payment booths during peak times.

When car parks are full, electronic signage will display ‘FULL’ and vehicles will not be able to gain access. Patrons with Disability Permits are advised to check with the attendant or via the Auto Pay Station intercom to confirm if PWD bays are available. Trailers are not permitted.

A temporary set down area for vehicles including taxis, coaches, school buses and mini buses is located on Stanley Place.

NOTICE: From Monday 16 April 2018 the rate for all Queensland Cultural Centre car parks is $17 per entry / per day.
Car parking fees are set in accordance with the Queensland Government Fees and Charges Indexation Policy.


$17 per entry / per day
Overnight vehicles will incur an additional fee of $17 per day or part thereof
Vehicles requiring exit after hours will incur a fee of $40


Mon-Sun – 7:00am to midnight

Public Holidays – 7:00am to midnight (closed Good Friday and Christmas Day)

Height Limits:

P1 and P2 – 2.0 metres
P3 –  2.3 metres lower level (limited bays) and 2.0 metres on upper level

Pre-paid parking (P1 only)

Please note: Due to the impacts of COVID-19, Car Park 1 is temporarily closed.

Pre-paid parking is available at P1 (refer map) from QTIX for performances at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre. Pre-paid parking vouchers must be presented on entry. Please note receipts, email or reference numbers will not be accepted.

Coach/bus parking

Parking for coaches/buses in South Brisbane is managed by Brisbane City Council with locations available via the Brisbane City Council website.
